Our work spans the full spectrum: from AI-powered transformation and data solutions, to composable digital commerce platforms, to intelligent automation and continuous development. We partner with market leaders—including Salesforce, Optimizely, and Sanity—to deliver at scale. Our clients include leading companies in retail, industrial, financial services, and technology sectors.
About the role
As Head of Technology for NoA Ignite Finland, you'll lead and grow our technical capabilities. You're both a builder and a strategic leader—someone who balances hands-on credibility with the ability to shape direction for multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex digital products and platforms.
You'll act as a sparring partner for clients and colleagues alike, ensuring technical excellence and enabling true collaboration between business, design, and engineering. You'll define how we work, the standards we uphold, and the people we develop. This is a role with real impact on both delivery and the evolution of our practice.
What you'll do
Leadership & technical direction
- Lead and coach a growing team of engineers, architects, and platform specialists—fostering autonomy, learning, and high performance.
- Define and evolve NoA Ignite Finland's technology strategy and service offering, aligned with business goals and market opportunity.
- Shape technical standards, tooling, and architectural principles that enable scalable, reliable delivery.
- Liaise with fellow Heads of Tech across Denmark, Norway, Poland, and Sweden to align on group technology strategy, shared capabilities, and emerging practice areas.
- Collaborate with cross-country tech leads to share best practices and strengthen the collective craft across the Nordic organization.
- Drive exploration of emerging technologies and innovation opportunities that create competitive advantage.
Delivery & client partnership
- Act as technical lead on complex digital projects—from architecture and system design through to delivery and value realization.
- Ensure high-quality execution across web, mobile, cloud platforms, and data solutions. Own technical quality and security/compliance implementation.
- Work closely with strategists and designers to translate business ambition into technically feasible, well-architected solutions.
- Participate in key client engagements as a trusted advisor, especially where complexity, scale, or strategic impact is high.
- Support sales, pitches, and estimation—helping clients understand what great technical solutions look like and why they matter.
Team development & culture
- Recruit, mentor, and develop top technical talent. Build practices that help people grow in both craft and confidence.
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Balance technical excellence with people's wellbeing—you care about both equally.
What you likely bring
Experience & track record
- 10+ years in software development and technology environments, with 5+ years in senior technical leadership (Tech Lead, Software Architect, Head of Engineering, or equivalent).
- Background in digital product, consulting, or agency environments—comfortable leading across multiple projects and client contexts.
- A track record of designing and delivering complex, integrated systems with clear architectural ownership.
- Proven ability to communicate technical strategy to business stakeholders and lead through influence across disciplines.
Technical expertise
- Strong understanding of modern web, mobile, and platform architectures. Comfort navigating diverse tech landscapes and making pragmatic decisions about integration, custom build, and standardization.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms and strategic partnerships—whether Salesforce, Optimizely, Sanity, or similar composable/headless solutions—and knowing how to architect around them.
- Cloud-native thinking (Azure, AWS, GCP experience valued) and familiarity with scalable, modular approaches to platform delivery.
- Hands-on credibility: you don't need to code every day, but you understand the craft deeply and can engage meaningfully on technical decisions, architecture choices, and engineering trade-offs.
- You know when to build, when to integrate, when to partner, and when to simplify—always grounded in business value.
Personal qualities
- A natural leader with clarity, empathy, and strong communication skills. You build trust quickly.
- A culture-carrier who values collaboration across specialisms and geographies.
- Comfortable in ambiguity and energized by moving things forward. You make confident decisions without having perfect information.
